Peaceful goal achiever
Guess who are best friends? This duckling and this fuzzy baby owl.
According to Buzzfeed:
“A 24 day old Long-eared Owl named Lars, and a White-crested Runner Duck named Chop-suey, have become fast friends at the Kirkleatham Owl Center.
These photos were taken on their second day of meeting. They love to cuddle.”

What a cute couple!
While walking with my client and his mother today in the city I saw a man sitting on the sidewalk with a duffel bag. As we got closer the man reached in and pulled out a tiny puppy, eyes still closed and he shouted, “you want to buy puppy?” OH MY GOD. This puppy looked like it wasn’t older than a few days old. Then I noticed the bag moving…apparently he had a whole litter of puppies in his duffel bag that he hoped to sell.
Since I was working (with a child who is nonverbal and on the lower functioning end of Autism, no less) I couldn’t stand there and call animal control to report him which is what I wanted to do. I did the next best thing I could and quickly text my husband and he called for me.
These puppies were so young they would most likely die being separated from their mother at their age AND not to mention it is illegal to sell puppies that young…
I hope they saved them. Poor babies!
Paris and Mr. Beefy
Beefy and Paris!
We almost adopted Paris two years ago from the local SPCA. At that time, she and Beefy did not fancy each other and Hubbs friend adopted her. His friend now is traveling often for work and wanted us to see if Beefy and she will get along now that he has matured. So far things have been okay. A little growling and trying to put each other in their place…tomorrow we decide for sure if we are going to keep her!

He had to have his spleen removed because it had twisted on itself. That was causing anemia and his red blood cells to be destroyed by his immune system. He made it through the surgery and is now recovering!!!!!!! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED THROUGH THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!!! I get to see him tomorrow morning!! I love him soo much!!!!!!!
